Introduction

We are seeking a DGI Reliability Specialist Trainee to join Metso's Digital Inspection S ervices team .

With positions available in both Brisbane and Henderson, you'll assist experienced NDT technicians in carrying out equipment inspections across heavy industrial and mining sites.

Your role plays a crucial part in ensuringMetso services are delivered to a high standard. You will become certified to Metso's Training Program and applicable standards as required.

This position will report to the Manager, Digital Inspections.

What you'll do

· Assist experienced technicians completing equipment condition inspections on heavy industrial and mine sites.

· Gain experience using ECA (Eddy Current Array), UT (Ultrasonic Testing).

· Complete assigned competency and qualification training modules.

· Ensures equipment is setup, calibrated and functional for each inspection.

· Conduct housekeeping and equipment cleaning duties.

· General maintenance tasks as instructed by qualified trades.

· Prepare post site visit reports, time sheets and expenses after site visits.

Who you are

· Mechanical background and aptitude with experience using power and hand tools.

· Committed to developing a career in the mining industry.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to undertake repetitive work whilst maintaining high attention to detail.

· Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, both verbally and written.

· Positive and proactive approach to safety.

· Ability to travel to remote areas for periods of time at short notice.

· Working at heights and confined space tickets desirable.
