Newly created finance position with a boutique Sydney-based Family Office with a distinctive and diverse investment portfolio that spans both traditional and alternative asset classes

This is a hands-on, high-impact finance leadership role in a dynamic investment environment where your insights and expertise will influence real-time decision-making and shape long-term financial outcomes. You will operate at the core of the business—working directly with the Financial Controller and Principal—offering exposure across complex entities, trusts, investment vehicles, and strategic projects

  • Month-End & Year-End Close
  • Taxation, Compliance & Regulatory
  • Treasury & Investment Oversight
  • Budgeting & Strategic Planning

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years' experience in financial reporting, ideally from a Big 4 background with commercial/family office exposure
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Deep experience with complex structures—trusts, investment entities, SPVs—and ideally Division 7A
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, and are comfortable being both strategic and hands-on
  • You have a high level of ownership, strong attention to detail, and can manage competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy
