Overview

We are recruiting multiple Electrical Engineers to join our client's team on major HV Substation projects (132kV – 500kV) in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Opportunities are available for specialists in Primary, Secondary, Protection, and Civil/Structural design. This is a chance to contribute to nation-shaping energy infrastructure while working in a collaborative and technically driven environment.

Responsibilities

Depending on your area of expertise, responsibilities may include:

  • Primary – Substation layout design, equipment specifications, busbar arrangements, and integration of high-voltage equipment.
  • Secondary – Control and Switchroom/ Switchgear system design, communication schemes, and preparation of wiring diagrams.
  • Protection – Protection studies, relay setting calculations, fault analysis, and coordination.
  • Civil & Structural – Design of foundations, structures, buildings, cable trenches, and overall site works.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, compliant, and high-quality designs.
  • Providing engineering support during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensuring all deliverables meet client, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Experience
  • Proven experience in HV Substation projects (132kV and above) within one of the following domains: Primary, Secondary, Protection, or Civil/Structural.
  • Detail substation design experience is highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of relevant standards and practices in Australia (or equivalent international experience).
  • Previous experience with utilities, EPCs, or design consultancies is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, timely, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical, Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline.
