About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our Newcastle team. In this role, you will be responsible for the build, configuration, installation, commissioning, and support of radio systems, including digital two-way radio and microwave technologies.

This is a hands-on position that involves working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of communication solutions.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a mix of technical skills and the right attitude. Key qualifications and abilities include:

  • Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical skills in radio systems, fault-finding, and configuration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training in new technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission radio equipment and systems.
  • Configure terminal and infrastructure software to meet customer requirements.
  • Diagnose and repair faults.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and company procedures.
  • Provide technical support to sales staff and assist with project planning.
