Overview

Senior Project Engineer role at Symal Group, based in Adelaide, South Australia. This position leads project delivery as part of a newly formed team with fast-tracked opportunities for career advancement into Project Management as the business expands in South Australia. Salary: A$129,000.00–A$175,000.00 per year. Location: Adelaide, South Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the construction program on projects up to $20 million and implement mitigating measures to keep the program on track.
  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews, provide cost forecasts against budgets and use commercial acumen to make financial decisions.
  • Work closely with the client, ensure risks are mitigated and progress is communicated effectively.
  • Lead and support a strong safety culture.
Qualifications
  • Extensive engineering experience on a broad range of civil projects such as road, earthworks, drainage, land division and infrastructure.
  • The ability to lead and manage smaller scale projects.
  • Sound understanding of the local construction industry and familiarity with contractors, councils and clients.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience.
  • Current South Australian Driver's Licence.
