Senior Payroll Officer - near Melbourne CBD - Perm role - $90k + Super

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a well-organized payroll team near Melbourne CBD. The ideal candidate is bright, energetic, with great aptitude, and ready to hit the ground running.

The role involves managing full-function payroll processing as part of a team, supporting high-volume payroll activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing fortnightly payroll for up to 1000 employees using Chris21 & Humanforce
  • Interpreting relevant awards and enterprise bargaining agreements
  • Maintaining payroll records and handling terminations
  • Managing leave, sickness, and overtime reports
  • Responding to payroll queries
  • Ensuring payroll reporting complies with statutory obligations
  • Paying superannuation
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with Humanforce & Chris21 is highly desirable
  • At least 5 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPs
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and payroll tax calculations
