Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join a well-organized payroll team near Melbourne CBD. The role involves managing high-volume payroll processes for both Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Processing fortnightly and monthly payrolls using ELMO and NZ payroll systems
  • Interpreting relevant awards and enterprise bargaining agreements
  • Maintaining payroll records and handling terminations
  • Managing leave, sickness, overtime reports, and answering payroll queries
  • Ensuring payroll reporting complies with statutory obligations
  • Calculating superannuation and payroll taxes

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 5 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Experience with ELMO and NZ payroll systems is highly desirable
  • Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and payroll tax calculations
