Service Advisor, Newcastle — Bendigo Advertiser

We are looking for a customer service professional to join our team as a Service Advisor, supporting one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This role requires strong customer interaction and technical understanding to provide a high level of service.

What You'll Do
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and drive-ins to address customer concerns with the highest level of response and attention
  • Return missed inquiries and manage communications to agreed KPI targets
  • Determine if a technical solution can be resolved over the phone; escalate immediately to Shop Foreman / Service Manager for urgent attention
  • Accurately record issues and data into the Dealer Management System
  • Conclude transactions in the system; guide customers through corrections and provide a service summary
  • Communicate estimated completion times, provide regular updates, and follow through on each customer vehicle
  • Coordinate delivery or pickup times with customers
  • Follow up with customers on services provided to ensure satisfaction

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new automotive technologies
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Team player with a goal of achieving common objectives
  • Experience with Dealer Management System(s), Outlook, and MS Office
  • Retail customer service experience; automotive retail experience is a bonus
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record with at least two years of driving experience
