About The Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role will support accurate financial reporting, taxation compliance, payroll processing, and month-end processes while contributing to continuous improvement across all accounting operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on knowledge of accounting processes, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to financial governance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the group's chart of accounts, with responsibility for accuracy and completion of all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end processes for all entities in the Group, including preparation and review of general journals (accruals, prepayments, allocations) and detailed Balance Sheet / GL reconciliations, and profit and loss variance analysis.
  • Manage cashflow and assist with managing bank accounts, overdraft transfers and inter-group payments.
  • Manage taxation requirements across the Australian entities including BAS compliance, R&D rebates, Payroll Tax and Income Tax Returns.
  • Assist in other financial areas including credit card processing, reconciling landed costs, and maintaining warranty and distribution reports.
  • Manage payroll for the Australian operations including onboarding, superannuation, payroll tax and workers compensation.
  • Contribute to knowledge of the ERP system and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Support the CFO with reporting requirements, Board Matters, and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
About You

Ideally, you will be a CA or CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess strong attention to detail with a hands-on focus. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. You will have either 3+ years' experience in a similar commercial environment or experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier Chartered firm and looking for a move to commercial.
