Step into a key Treasury role in a respected FMCG business, leading daily banking operations while guiding two junior team members. You'll manage payments, reconciliations, allocations and process improvements in a structured, high-volume environment. Ideal for someone reliable, organised and confident using SAP. Strong team culture, clear leadership and the chance to make a visible impact every day. The culture at this firm speaks volumes with constant upskilling and amazing tenure.

Treasury Analyst - Banking
Own the process, support your team, and help keep the business moving

Why this role? Why now?
This is a well-rounded opportunity for a Treasury Analyst, early in their career who enjoys process ownership, thrives in structure, and takes pride in being the calm, reliable presence that others can depend on.

The business is a well-known and respected player in the FMCG space, and while they're part of a global group, the local finance team is close-knit, collaborative, and grounded in stability. After a long period of consistency in this role, the team is now looking for someone to step in and lead day-to-day banking operations while guiding two capable but developing administrators. The role has come up due to an internal promotion.

A temp is currently supporting the team, but their assignment ends Mid April. The team is well-aligned, committed to quality, and motivated to secure the right person quickly.

This isn't a high-level strategy or commercial-facing role. It is best suited to someone who enjoys structure, values accuracy, and wants to lead with a steady hand. You'll be the person who ensures payments go out on time, allocations are completed, and things keep running smoothly.

What you'll be doing
This role is hands-on and focused on day-to-day delivery. You'll be responsible for ensuring the business's banking and treasury operations run seamlessly and that your team is supported to succeed. You will be working alongside two Senior Analysts who, along with you report into the Treasurer. You will have two direct reports, you are expected to lead by example, offer guidance and performance manage where necessary.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily cash positions and ensuring appropriate funding
  • Uploading outgoing payment files and ensuring completeness of payment processing
  • Allocating incoming receipts to customer accounts in SAP
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations and clearing GL accounts
  • Matching banking transactions in the Diapason treasury system
  • Processing direct debit and credit card batches
  • Verifying vendor and customer bank detail master data
  • Guiding and mentoring two Banking Administrators
  • Identifying small process improvements and supporting automation changes
  • Liaising with IT and SAP consultants to align treasury processes with system updates
This is a critical delivery role. You'll be the person that keeps everything moving - and when things don't go to plan, others will look to you to calmly find a solution and bring the team back on track.

About the team and leadership
You'll report into a Treasury Manager who's known for their supportive and structured leadership style. They're organised, fair, and lead with trust and they're looking for someone who can bring that same presence to the day-to-day banking function.

You'll be managing two Banking Administrators. One has been with the business for two years and comes from a credit background. The other is newer to the organisation and still building their skillset. Both are capable, engaged and eager to grow - and they'll benefit from someone who can provide clear direction, structure and mentorship.

The team culture is cohesive, mature and team-first. There is a strong sense of mutual respect and collaboration. This is not a high-pressure or political environment - it's practical, reliable, and built on people who take responsibility and care about their work.

What we're looking for
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys routine, cares about accuracy, and leads by example. You don't need to be flashy or overly analytical - you just need to be dependable, self-managed, and invested in your team.

You'll bring:
  • 2 to 4 years' experience in treasury operations, banking, or finance shared services
  • SAP experience and confidence with Excel
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own day
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior team members
  • Clear communication style and a team-oriented mindset
  • Calmness under pressure and the ability to guide others through busy periods
What's on offer
This is more than a transactions finance role - it's an opportunity to take ownership of a core function and build your leadership experience in a supportive environment. You'll be a key part of a stable, respected team that values structure, collaboration and calm execution.

In return, you'll get:
  • The opportunity to manage people and own process
  • A well-supported onboarding and handover period
  • Exposure to upcoming systems improvements and automation
  • A team that genuinely values your contribution and experience
  • A role where the work you do each day makes a visible difference
Salary is currently being finalised and will be competitive for the right person. Flexibility will be offered depending on how the team is structured and your level of experience.

If this sounds like the right next step for you, apply now or get in touch for a confidential conversation. I'm happy to walk you through the team, the culture and what to expect from the process.
