As Principal Treasury Analyst, you will provide high-quality financial and related policy advice through critical thinking and analytical rigour. You will work with your team and agency partners to consider and resolve complex financial and policy matters, identify key risks, and develop strategic responses.

Provide strategic analysis and advice to drive policy outcomes

We're building our analytical capacity and seeking professionals with experience in financial and data analysis, financial and non-financial performance reporting and/or in developing government policy. In your new role as a Principal Treasury Analyst, you will help shape impactful policy advice and work on emerging issues across agencies. Join a team at the heart of Queensland's decision-making and financial sustainability. Roles are available across a number of levels and policy areas.

In This Role, You Will

Analyse agencies' financial and non-financial performance and identify emerging risks
Delivery high-quality briefings and presentations
Engage directly with agency clients and government stakeholders
Support the Executive Director to lead the team to deliver outcomes in a complex and time-sensitive environment
Provide advice that influences budget, economic and performance outcomes
Support strategy, submissions and oral briefings for senior leaders
Represent Treasury in interdepartmental groups

What Experience You Will Bring

Experience in analysing and interpreting financial and non-financial performance information and data and/or in developing government policy
Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
Clear and persuasive communication across diverse audiences
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-impact role
Effective judgement, communication and understanding of different perspectives in developing solutions and working with others.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
