Response Centre Operator – Maintenance Operations

Location: Liverpool

Employment type: Talent Pool for future ongoing and temporary positions

Salary: $92,701 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The Maintenance Response Centre operates 24/7, 365 days a year and employs around 180 staff to provide responsive maintenance solutions to social housing properties in NSW, using telephone, email, and online platforms to assist clients.

Your role

As a Response Centre Operator, you will be the first point of contact for social housing tenants across NSW, providing timely and empathetic support for maintenance issues. In a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, you will assess and progress requests via phone, email, and online platforms to ensure properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

What You'll Do
  • Respond to social housing tenants by phone, online, or email with empathy, providing accurate and appropriate maintenance advice that meets asset requirements and tenant needs.
  • Track multiple maintenance requests and activities, progressing them end-to-end to deliver optimum service outcomes.

  • Ability to prioritise, manage competing demands, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Initiative and ability to think creatively for non-standard requests.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning through training.
  • Willingness to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Relevant qualifications or understanding of general and reactive building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, safety).
  • Current knowledge of the Australian Building Code and Australian Standards is highly regarded.
  • Previous call centre or customer contact experience desirable but not essential.
