About the Business

Our Finance team partners closely with business areas, working collaboratively to provide expert financial advisory services, including strategic accounting and financial guidance that supports the department's goals, budgets, processes, and systems.

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a dynamicand strategic Manager, Finance Business Partnerships to lead a team of Financeprofessionals through a critical period of change.

This senior role plays an essential part in shaping theDepartment's financial strategy, ensuring the integrity of our budget planning,monitoring, and reporting processes, and will include participating in managingstaff transition to new core financial systems and driving continuousimprovements in financial practices.

Reporting to the Director, Finance, you will work alongsideDepartmental leadership and drive financial outcomes through analysis,strategic insight, and collaborative leadership of a team of Financeprofessionals.

You will build and maintain effective partnerships withsenior leaders and operational teams, continuing to position the Finance teamas a trusted and value advisor across the Department.

Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree inAccounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline and ideally, have also completed professional qualifications offered byCPA Australia or the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
