Vantive is seeking a Supply Chain and Logistics Director to support our APAC region.

The role is responsible for setting the strategic direction of supply chain activities, and leading the team in the development, implementation, and execution of supply chain processes in support of timely order fulfillment and achievement of business objectives; and is also accountable for optimizing service levels and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers, including planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, warehousing and distribution, logistics and transportation.
  • Demand planning and forecasting — ensure sufficient and appropriate inventory levels through collaboration across sales, marketing, operations, and finance, and forecast future demand using historical data, market trends, customer behavior, and other factors.
  • Market planning — lead communications between sales, marketing, operations, customer support, quality, regulatory, and fulfillment to monitor and manage inventory and close gaps between inventory and customer demand.
  • Supply Chain Optimization — oversee procurement, inventory management, supplier management, contract negotiations, transportation, fulfilment and customer service to enable an optimal supply chain and minimize disruptions.
  • Order Fulfillment — ensure customer orders are processed and fulfilled efficiently and accurately.
  • Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
  • Identify areas for improvement in supply chain processes, implement changes, and track performance metrics; resolve issues impeding business goals.
  • Manage managers who lead other supply chain associates.
  • Sponsor and may lead cross-functional teams in support of strategic initiatives within the supply chain and across business units.
  • Provide management, finance, and the business with inventory projections, service level issues, revenue constraints, and profitability-related information.
  • Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing policies, standards, regulations, or laws, ensuring adherence to regulations, trade compliance, and company policies.
  • Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.
EHS Responsibilities
  • Drive a zero-harm culture in the workplace for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and corporate EHS requirements, safe work practices, and EHS policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ensure all hazards, near misses, and incidents are reported and investigated to identify root causes and implement actions to prevent harm.
  • Ensure all employees are trained to perform their roles safely and complete any regulatory-based training as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • At least 10 years of related experience in supply chain management, including warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service, and/or inventory planning.
  • Detailed working knowledge of effective supply chain performance, including operations management.
  • Extensive experience supervising, coaching, and developing others.
  • Extensive experience managing budgetary performance and profitability (P&L).
  • Significant experience prioritizing with data-supported analysis of trade-offs between business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements for business efficiency.
  • Proven ability to drive results through both self and team leadership.
Technical Skills
  • Excellent leadership skills, including sponsoring/leading projects with broad scope and cross-functional impact while promoting teamwork across organizations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of business and supply chain strategies, including total delivered cost, profitability, inventory turns, and service levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders to influence decision-making and gain acceptance in sensitive situations.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and presentation skills.
