Job Summary:

RED is seeking a highly organized and creative Design & Project Coordinator with a passion for design to join our RXD Global architecture and interior design team, working internationally across our projects in Australia, Vietnam, Singapore, Dubai and USA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating various projects within the hospitality, retail, residential, and commercial sectors, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while maintaining our high standards of quality. This role involves a combination of client-facing responsibilities along with collaboration and coordination of internal team members in both Melbourne and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Design & Project Coordinator will work closely with clients, architects, designers, and contractors to oversee design elements and deliver exceptional results that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage multiple architecture and interior design projects from conception to completion across various industries, including hospitality, retail, residential, and commercial.
  • Formulate the inception of design ideas and orientate the design process through internal teams to achieve the desired results.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Clearly read, review, and coordinate the preparation of work drawings with the internal teams.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party consultant & engineering teams.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee design elements and work closely with the design team to ensure the project's aesthetic and functional requirements are met.
  • Review and approve design plans, specifications, and materials to ensure compliance with regulations and client expectations.
  • Prepare project reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies.
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare conditions reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in the architecture or interior design industry, with experience in hospitality, retail, residential, and commercial sectors being advantageous.
  • Strong design sensibility and knowledge of design principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Autodesk AEC suite products (Revit as a primary tool), AutoCAD, 3DsMax, Enscape, and Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative international team environment.
