Overview

Join to apply for the Food and Beverage Attendant role at Illawarra Mercury.

A casual pool of events staff is being established for Bega Valley Shire Council. This opportunity will oversee the provision and supervision of event and function hospitality services with regards to the front of house, servicing of food and beverage, event order preparation, and general housekeeping duties.

As a Food and Beverage Attendant you will provide an efficient, safe, welcoming and friendly front of house service for BVCCC ensuring a high standard of presentation and customer service, and support the delivery and execution of day-to-day operational services of the BVCCC.

Responsibilities
  • Provide front of house service for events and functions, including food and beverage servicing and general housekeeping duties.
  • Prepare and assist with event orders and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and customer service.
  • Support safety and operational requirements in line with council policies.
Qualifications
  • Qualification in hospitality/catering or event-related field.
  • Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol.
  • Demonstrated experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in events/functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Physical fitness to perform operational tasks including venue setup and pack down.
Benefits
  • Casual pool for Food and Beverage Attendants; positions engaged on an as-needed basis with varying hours.
  • Hourly remuneration from $42.04 gross per hour, comprising: $30.16 base salary, $7.54 casual loading, $4.34 superannuation (11.5%).
