Partner – Business Support (Financial Crime Compliance) at BOQ Group. This role is a key part of the Group Risk function and acts as the primary point of contact for all BAU financial crime compliance matters.
Responsibilities- Provide independent review, advice, and challenge on BAU matters to ensure compliance with AML/CTF, FATCA/CRS, and internal FCC policies.
- Support Retail, Business Bank, and Treasury teams with Product and Channel Risk Assessments (PCRAs), Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments (EWRA), and Product Risk Reviews (PRRs).
- Assess issues and incidents for materiality and report significant matters to AUSTRAC.
- Contribute to insightful reporting on FCC risk profiles, incidents, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
- Build strong, transparent relationships with internal stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with other areas of Compliance to support the design and implementation of frameworks, policies, and processes.
- Champion Compliance's Purpose and Ways of Working across the organisation.
- Stay informed on regulatory developments and proactively advise on implications for the business.
You're a confident and adaptable compliance professional with a strong foundation in financial crime obligations, including AUSTRAC regulation and the AML/CTF Act. You bring a deep understanding of banking operations across retail, business, and treasury, and have a knack for simplifying complex regulatory matters. You thrive in ambiguity, are comfortable making independent decisions, and are passionate about continuous improvement and optimising processes. Your ability to engage and influence stakeholders, deliver high-quality work, and identify areas needing deeper analysis makes you a trusted advisor in a transforming and fast-paced environment.
