Overview

Corowa, New South Wales
• Part-time

Two part-time opportunities available. Work 3 days per week on a rotating roster with hours from 9:15am to 4:45pm, including a 45-minute lunch break (total 20.25 hours per week). A compulsory 4-week (full-time) training program is required upon commencement. Rolling interviews will be conducted; applications may close any time before September 21, 2025. Flexibility may be required to cover staff absences from time to time.

Responsibilities

Qualifications / What We're Looking For
  • Extensive experience in delivering exceptional customer service in diverse environments, including managing challenging interactions.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures quickly.
  • Initiative in solving problems, improving methods and productivity; know when to seek guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy and patience when interacting with diverse individuals.
  • Experience in cash receipting, cash handling and banking procedures.

  • Maintaining composure and resilience when dealing with difficult interactions and diverse customer needs.
  • Providing seamless, expert assistance in evolving situations.
  • Consistently managing customer expectations and delivering results.
Essential Training

This position requires a mandatory intensive 4-week Service NSW training program. The training will involve working full-time hours (5 days per week) temporarily. The program may be delivered off-site outside the Federation Council region and on-site in Corowa; off-site training commitment is essential.

Additional Information

The appointment will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award and Council's policies and conditions of employment. The wages for this position commence at $37.29 per hour (Grade 12).
