VEHiQA (www.vehiqa.com.au) is a leading supplier and manufacturer of Vehicle-mounted Emergency Warning products to Public Safety in Australia. The company is based in a new purpose-built facility and is currently expanding its Australian Operations.
The role
We're seeking a highly driven, results orientated Production Supervisor to join our team and help continue to grow and develop our company .
Reporting to the Production Manager and ultimately to the Managing Director, the ideal candidate will be a hands on, working and leading by example, shoulder to shoulder with our production team. You be process orientated with great attention to detail and be proactive in continuous improvement.
Your role is a hands on role, not a sit at a desk role, where you will lead, direct, organise and supervise the day-to-day operations of our production team with various skills making a varied product range, ensuring detailed Quality Control during and at the end of production whilst ensuring that our continued high standard of quality work is achieved on time, consistently, efficiently and safely.
What you will be doing:
Strict time management and KPI execution skills
The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to drive the manufacturing team to strict deadlines, and mitigate challenges faced. This person would be able to report time variances several times daily, and assist in scheduling accordingly.
Challenging and agile environment with deadline accuracy experience
The ideal candidate's experience would be in a relevant manufacturing field, or from a service and logistic field. This person would be able to forecast and recover from delays related to the production process, and ensure lessons learnt are captured appropriately.
Reporting ability
Spreadsheeting ability and data analysis crucial.
Aptitude to learning and problem solving
Ability to adapt to new technology and product changes, as well as working amongst the team efficiently to communicate what is required to meet customer expectations.This person must be able to interpret customer requirements, and ensure the product meets (and exceeds) expectations both at end of production, and for the serviceable life of the product.
Liaising with a motivated team to deliver on schedule, the candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities, whilst maintaining professionalism with both colleagues and public sector clientele.
Lean manufacturing experience (Lean 6 sigma)
ISO9001 certified, this candidate must follow documented processes and instructions.

Ensure quality control and maintain high production standards.
Be able to handle changes in production schedules, unexpected challenges, and evolving customer demands.
Customer-Oriented
Understand customer needs and expectations, and work to meet or exceed them.
Initiative
Proactively identify areas for improvement and take action to enhance productivity.
Maintain a positive and encouraging work environment, even in challenging situations.
Understand and manage emotions effectively and build positive relationships with team members.
