The Firm & The Role

Our client is a commercial law firm experiencing significant growth, seeking a junior lawyer (with around 1 to 3 years PAE) to support a partner and their senior lawyers.

They value relationships, creativity, and innovation, fostering a supportive, career-enhancing, and nurturing environment. The partners are committed to helping their employees grow their careers within the firm.

The firm works with clients in property, construction, insurance industries, as well as SMEs, high-net-worth individuals, and major corporations.

The role primarily involves litigation matters. Typical duties include:

  1. Maintaining files
  2. Legal research
  3. Drafting legal and court documents
  4. Attending court and tribunals such as NCAT
  5. Attending mediations
  6. Interviewing witnesses
  7. Assisting with client seminars
  8. Drafting letters of advice

This role offers hands-on experience with a transparent career path. Ambitious individuals can progress quickly.

About You

Ideally, you have around 1 to 3 years PAE experience in commercial disputes, property law, insurance law, or construction law. You will also possess:

  1. Pre-admission experience as a paralegal with a law firm
  2. Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines
  3. Competence in file management, drafting documents, correspondence, and searches
  4. A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  5. Problem-solving abilities

Pre-admission experience is highly regarded, and the role is open to newly admitted lawyers.
