Overview

This is a permanent part-time Chef position within our Catering Services team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare nutritious and appetising meals for patients, staff, doctors, the cafe, and hospital functions.
  • Uphold food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Support daily kitchen operations including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance.
  • Work collaboratively in a busy team environment, reporting to the Executive Chef.
  • Prepare and cook meals (including cold larder and special diets).
  • Understand and meet patient dietary requirements.
  • Ensure food safety compliance (HACCP) and accurate record keeping.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen and equipment.
  • Assist with stock management and ordering.
What You Will Bring
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and OH&S standards.
  • Proven experience in food preparation for individuals and groups (hospital experience highly regarded).
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows with strong organisation skills.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia (sponsorship not available).
Remuneration

On offer is an hourly rate of $31.26 - $33.31 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications (GPH Level 3 EBA).

Requirements

Everyone who joins Ramsay:

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases (as applicable).
