Overview

Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated Forklift Operator/Parcel Sorter to join the team at our Mackay Branch.

This role involves pallet breakdown, labelling and sorting of parcel freight and cartons, loading and unloading of trucks and running freight. A strong knowledge of Mackay and surrounding areas is highly advantageous.

Schedule: Monday to Friday - Casual hours and rates

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and assist with pallet breakdown, labelling and sorting of parcel freight and cartons
  • Load and unload trucks and manage freight movement
  • Maintain parcel processing records and all required documentation
  • Communicate with team and supervisors to meet schedules and escalate issues related to processes, safety and operations
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in the transport industry
  • A valid Forklift licence is essential
  • Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations
  • A high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive lifting
  • Great local knowledge of Mackay and surrounding areas
  • Ability to work unsupervised
