Overview

Senior Administration Officer role at Queensland Police Service. Policelink is a large non-urgent contact centre that provides service to the Queensland community. The Senior Administration Officer provides leadership and supervision to subordinate staff and is responsible for managing all Policelink administrative functions and the provision of administrative support for the Policelink Commander.

Key Accountabilities
  • Work under limited supervision using a high level of initiative to resolve issues, deliver practical solutions and disseminate information which supports business outcomes.
  • Routinely prioritise competing demands to meet business and performance timeframes.
  • Coordinate activities across the Policelink Group on behalf of the Superintendent, ensuring that Command Priorities are met.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to subordinate staff and monitor performance including assessment of workplace competencies if required.
  • Research and prepare correspondence including complex reports and letters to internal and external clients.
  • Develop, implement and maintain office systems, policy and procedures to ensure effective and efficient management of the Policelink Group.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, conferences, ceremonies and other events and attend to any follow-up action.
  • Develop and maintain effective communications and collaborative working relationships with executive, senior officers, support staff and external clients.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Experience in maintaining effective office systems and managing and preparing correspondence.
  • Experience in meeting and event management and strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership and supervision to staff and monitor performance as required.
