Employment type: Full-time

Work-life balance: 38-hour work week with a Rostered Day Off every fortnight

Salary: $62,018.32 – $72,075.38 per year + 12% Superannuation

What you'll do

As an Operations Crew Member you will report to the Team Leader Construction and support the construction and maintenance of Council's road and transport infrastructure. The role involves undertaking manual labouring tasks, operating small tools and machinery, and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, safe, and compliant outcomes for the community. You will also contribute to projects outdoors in a dynamic environment and help improve safety, accessibility, and liveability for the region.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Demonstrated experience in construction and/or maintenance (roads and drainage) with the use of small handheld tools, equipment and machinery relevant to the field.
  • Proven ability to follow instructions within a team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to use computer applications and operate devices to support field productivity and scheduling-based systems.
  • Effective communication with key stakeholders in delivering operational and maintenance services.
  • Hold and maintain C Class Drivers Licence, Traffic Control Combo (Stop/Slow Bat and Implement Traffic Plans) and WHS Induction Card; willingness to obtain Level 1 Accredited Chainsaw course within 12 months of employment.
Other requirements
  • Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
  • Be willing to participate in on-call roster and overtime where applicable
