This role is perfect for a dynamic sales professional looking to play an important role with longer-term progression opportunities. You will be an energetic self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities and generate interest in the Growth Faculty by contacting prospects, presenting our product, and qualifying leads. You will work closely with the existing sales team to accelerate the sales cycle.
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be the first line of communication with potential new clients. You will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales closers up for success. You should be a quick learner with strong communication skills and have the ability to explain the value our product brings to businesses across Australia.
You aren't afraid to pick up the phone 60-80 times a day and can establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with C-suite and senior-level decision makers. Having the ability to quickly assess customer opportunities will be critical to your success. Targeting leading organisations, you will have the business acumen to explain the impact our product brings to businesses across the world.
Responsibilities
- Own your lead management and prospecting activities from a multi-touch sales approach i.e., phone, email, SMS, and social selling.
- Efficiently respond, qualify, and nurture leads.
- Proactively seek new B2B business opportunities in key markets and ideal customer profiles.
- Account-based selling - engaging all key decision makers in prospect organisations.
- Identify prospect's needs and how our product aligns, advising on the best solution.
- Handle inbound phone sales enquiries and assess if they are a sales opportunity.
- Build business opportunities through energetic and engaging outbound cold calling.
- Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities.
- Schedule meetings or calls or demos between qualified leads and Sales Executives.
- Efficiently process all opportunities, tracking, reporting, and maintaining them until they are established in the sales pipeline.
- Proactively manage your schedule, activities, and leads to meet KPI's of 20 meetings per week.
- Collaborate successfully with other members of the sales team to optimise team selling productivity.
- Ongoing proactive learning to continuously upgrade your personal skills and understanding of our product to become a product expert.
- Actively promote and develop the corporate culture of bringing brilliance, rolling sleeves up, thinking big, and creating impact for the company and our customers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a sales and/or a phone-based customer service environment.
- Experience in outbound sales or passion for working in a sales environment.
- Be hungry, self-driven, and deliver on new business sales targets.
- A 'Hunter' mentality that enjoys seeking out new business.
- Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
- Engaging and agile conversation skills to communicate, engage, and influence varying buyer personas.
- Skilled in overcoming objections and ability to answer questions in ways that educate and entice the prospect.
- Ability to undertake prospect research to create trust and credibility leading to more meaningful customer engagement and success outcomes.
- Structured in approach and able to practice a repeatable process in terms of each new lead.
- Self-motivated, high energy, resilient, and determined.
- Ability to actively listen to prospects' requirements and relate this to the product offering.
- Eager to learn and become a product expert as well as upgrade your own professional skills.
- Be passionate about finding innovative new ways to promote the company and build leads.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Salesloft, management systems, and email marketing tools.
- Open to change, new ideas, and find the ebb and flow of our evolving business exciting.
