Provide contemporary, evidence-based, patient-focused care to facilitate optimal health outcomes for healthcare recipients.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be able to carry out the following key responsibilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values:

  1. Fulfil role responsibilities as per Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award – Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 5, aligning with Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values to achieve organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
  2. Practice according to the code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing, maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of the position.
  3. Apply clinical nursing expertise—including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver high-standard, patient-centered care.
  4. Respond appropriately to sudden changes in patient health status using comprehensive assessment and intervention skills.
  5. Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate learning and promote independence.
