This is a 12-month contract role supporting the payroll function through a period of continued growth and activity. About the Role:

As Senior Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes for a large and diverse workforce. You'll ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery, support compliance across Awards and EBAs, and collaborate with HR and finance teams to support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll using SAP for a high-volume employee base
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Awards, EBAs, and employment legislation
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and perform regular reconciliations
  • Support month-end reporting and internal/external audit processes
  • Respond to payroll queries and provide guidance to internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer or equivalent
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP payroll systems (essential)
  • Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and EBAs
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
