Learning and Development Specialist
The opportunity
• An opportunity for a Learning and Development Specialist to join the Customer Relations and Advisory business on a 12 month fixed term contract.
• Open to location.
Your new role
As the Learning and Development Specialist, you will partner with business leaders to build and implement learning and development solutions including mandatory training and complaint training for QBE partners. You will report into the Head of Operations for our Customer Relations and Advocacy team and lead the identification of capability development needs, create the capability development plan, and engage stakeholders to ensure delivery of sustainable learning solutions.
Along with the above, you will also:
Provide support to internal and/or external training delivery providers about the facilitation of programs.
Help managers develop their team members through career pathing.
Work cross-functionally with subject matter experts to define key content areas.
Build credibility of the learning partner team through effective consultation and innovative learning solution design.
Work in partnership with the business and broader QBE team to build, recommend, and deliver specialist dispute function solutions in line with business needs.
Seek out learner feedback and continuously improve solution design.
Facilitate the transfer of knowledge to facilitators (internal & external) to ensure effective learning delivery.
Build relationships with business leaders and increase understanding of job capability challenges across the business.
About You
To be successful, you will have experience within learning and development or training roles previously along with:
Building and developing learning frameworks from the ground up for upskilling internal and external partners.
Inquisitiveness and curiosity about the most up-to-date development tools and ways of learning.
Relationship management and influencing skills.
Prior experience in facilitation and presentations across multiple levels.
Strong stakeholder engagement.
Understanding data and ability to report on trends.
Prior exposure supporting business strategy and regulatory requirements to effectively deliver outcomes.
