Overview

Manager, Retail Channels (Branch Manager) role at Bendigo Advertiser. The Dorado, PR on-site branch aims to become a flagship location, attracting new customers, establishing the brand, and achieving a strong market position. The Manager will plan, execute, and oversee sales strategies, build a successful team, and ensure alignment with the franchise model and company values.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the new location aligned with the retail business strategy and branch network.
  • Actively engage in prospecting and lead generation, identifying potential clients and converting them into customers.
  • Lead business development at the branch to increase customer relationships, loan portfolio, and deposit portfolio, and achieve financial and service goals.
  • Promote a positive dynamic among branch team members and customers, fostering teamwork and a healthy work environment.
  • Deliver proactive and superior customer experience; build a customer-focused culture to deepen long-term relationships.
  • Support digital transformation by encouraging transaction migration and customer adoption.
  • Maintain a strong bank relationship through effective communication, professional presentation, and image.
  • Ensure compliance with service standards and franchise model at the branch; monitor, evaluate, and coach staff performance.
  • Oversee direct reports' leadership, development, and performance management; assist in recruitment and staff development.
  • Provide direction to maintain service levels; ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and security procedures; support regulatory reviews and audits.
  • Represent the financial institution in the community through good customer relations.
  • Review and approve banking transactions within authority levels; manage branch audits and other reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or related field preferred.
  • Proven sales and business development experience in banking or financial services; at least four (4) years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable.
  • Fully bilingual — English and Spanish (written and verbal) required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and relevant reporting systems; banking software experience highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial institution policies, banking regulations (state and federal) is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills; excellent communication and collaboration abilities with diverse staff and clients.
  • Legal work authorization to work in the United States; ongoing authorization required.
