Clinical Trial Doctor / Sub-Investigator

Location: Australia (On-site)

Employment Type: Part-time (FTE flexible) | Contract to Permanent

A leading global biotech, with a recognised track record of success across the USA and Europe, is growing into the Australian market with the launch of their new clinical trial unit. As part of this exciting growth, they are seeking a Clinical Trial Doctor/Sub-Investigator to join their team and contribute to early phase clinical research.

This is a part-time opportunity, with flexible FTE options, and will originally commence on a contract basis, with the view to transition into a permanent role as the site scales.

About the Role –

  • Support the delivery of early-phase clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Work closely with the Principal Investigator and broader medical/research team to ensure protocol compliance and patient safety
  • Conduct patient assessments, oversee clinical procedures, and contribute to data collection and review
  • Participate in sponsor and regulatory communications, as required
  • Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and site SOPs
  • For those with extensive trial experience, a Principal Investigator position can be offered

Key Requirements –

  • AHPRA-registered Medical Doctor
  • Prior experience in General Medicine or ICU is essential
  • Experience in clinical trials or clinical research is preferred but not required
  • Strong interest in early-phase research and patient-focused care
  • Excellent communication and clinical documentation skills
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a fast-growing biotech environment
