Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Underwriting team and deliver high-quality client service by supporting ownership of the operational functions of the team, allowing underwriters to focus on production and underwriting. This includes tasks such as entering data into underwriting and other systems, reviewing policy documents, handling broker, accounting or policy queries, and working with underwriters to review renewal and new business submissions.

• Ensure bookings are registered within required timeframes and to the required quality standard (right-first-time).
• Act as the first point of contact for processing of complex business.
• Liaise with operations to resolve queries regarding New Business submissions to ensure timely registration.
• Review Name Clearance results to maintain Chubb's reserving rights.
• Prepare underwriting files for Renewal and New Business (including data entry into underwriting systems, compiling market research, and completing raters).
• Liaise with brokers and internal departments for credit control, claims and risk information.
• Follow up with brokers for outstanding binding instructions or subjectivities.
• Review policy documents produced by Operations and create ad hoc documents as needed.
• Assist with reconciliation of aged finance items.
• Ensure underwriting files are complete and meet audit requirements; manage transition of policies into the National Underwriting Centre.
• Ensure policy tracking/workflow tools reflect current policy status at all times.
• Support the development and implementation of business processing tools by acting as SME and assisting in requirements gathering and UAT.
• Perform any other ad hoc duties allocated by the Team Leader.

• University bachelor's degree or equivalent.
