Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College, and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and operates within Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice to the people of Victoria across metropolitan and regional courts. The Court determines over 300,000 cases annually at 51 locations, representing approximately 90 percent of all cases before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be innovative, accessible, and responsive, providing quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
In this pivotal role, you will oversee various activities and projects within the Division, providing administrative support to the Court Practice & Services leadership teams and governance committees. This includes preparing documents, presentations, briefings, and speaking notes. The Divisional Coordinator will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and ensure the smooth operation of business-as-usual processes within the divisions and across MCV.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and appropriate information sharing.
- Representing MCV at facilities meetings and other relevant forums.
- Supporting the drafting and preparation of confidential and complex documents, including briefs, speaking notes, reports, presentations, and submissions.

About you
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to exercise judgment on complex, confidential, and sensitive matters with tact and discretion.
- High-quality experience in drafting correspondence and documents.
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of Magistrates' Court practices, procedures, and processes is highly desirable.
