Overview

Business Analyst - Data & Analytics at Fulton Hogan. Based in Richmond on a 12-month max term contract. This role reports to the Group Digital Manager and focuses on understanding business needs, documenting requirements, mapping processes, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. It supports a key digital transformation project: the selection and rollout of a Digital Forms platform to improve operational efficiency and digitise core processes.

Responsibilities
  • Gather and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and process analysis.
  • Document and translate business needs into practical solutions; map processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work as part of a cross-Tasman project team to consolidate onto a preferred forms platform; support delivery with Australian stakeholders for the Digital Field Forms project.
  • Support change management through training, communications, user documentation, and ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are maintained.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience as a business analyst in a large or complex organisation — at least 3 years — paired with a relevant tertiary qualification. You should have a solid grasp of business analysis, a natural curiosity for understanding business problems, and a meticulous eye for detail. You communicate clearly, build positive relationships, and know how to prioritise and deliver against deadlines. Your ability to engage stakeholders and understand operational workflows—particularly from a field user's perspective—will set you apart. We're looking for a team player who can also work independently in a collaborative environment. Requirements
  • Proven experience as a business analyst in a large or complex organisation — at least 3 years.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to deliver against deadlines.
