Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services, and community support. CCS manages individuals on court orders, those who have committed serious sex offences on post-sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.About the role: Court Assessment & Prosecutions Officers support the operation of the Court Assessment and Prosecutions Service and apply relevant work practices. This includes conducting initial assessments, variations, or prosecutions against an individual's court order. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Providing timely, high-quality, evidence-based advice to stakeholders
  2. Undertaking effective assessments of an individual's risk to community safety
  3. Managing individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours effectively
  4. Producing detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines
About you:
  1. Experience or knowledge of court processes and prosecutions
  2. Ability to provide human services in needs assessments and develop interventions
  3. Attention to words, expressions, and body language; recognizing behaviors that promote inclusion
  4. Resolving issues through understanding or interpreting existing guidelines
Relevant industry qualification is desirable.
