The Finance Analyst will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for a range of daily, weekly and monthly tasks and deliverables within pre-agreed timeframes requiring tight turnaround times, including journal postings and accruals for month end on financial and non-financial customer metrics in order to deliver a full end to end P&L.

Your day in the life of a Finance Analyst at amaysim
  1. Ensuring all accounting entries are recorded on a monthly basis, and in a timely manner
  2. Preparation of monthly accounting reporting of revenue and cost recognition in line with the framework of the Australian Accounting Standards
  3. Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of balance sheet and cash at bank accounts
  4. Supporting the Finance Manager with Monthly P&L detailed variance analysis and commentary for all financials and non-financial metrics
  5. Support the Finance team with monthly reporting including key commentary and insights
  6. Liaising and supporting the Finance Manager and external auditors on audit matters related to revenue and cost recognition and ensure all audit requests are provided to the auditors on their due dates
What makes you perfect for the role?
  1. Extensive experience in accounting in a corporate environment with month-end processes
  2. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  3. Desirable Professional accounting qualifications or studying towards (CA or CPA)
  4. High attention to detail
  5. Ability to perform data and statistical analysis to spot trends and anomalies
  6. Able to interact with a diverse range of internal stakeholders with varying levels of understanding of accounting and finance
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
