Payroll Officer x2 (Part-Time)

Hamilton, Qld (15 min from Brisbane CBD)

High-Volume, Fast-Paced Environment

Office Based Role (amazing office with parking available)

Our Client, a respected leader in the pharmacy sector, is seeking two experienced Payroll Officers to join their close-knit team. These roles are available due to urgent business needs and offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, supportive workplace with genuine work-life balance and ongoing professional development.

The Opportunities:

  • Payroll Officer – Permanent Part-Time (3 days/week)
  • Payroll Officer – Maternity Leave Cover (4 days/week) - Fixed term until Mid November

What You'll Do:

  • End-to-end processing of weekly payroll for multiple entities (~1,400 employees)
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data
  • Interpret awards, agreements, and payroll legislation (6 awards, 1 primary)
  • Respond to payroll queries with a customer-first approach
  • Assist in payroll system improvements and documentation
  • Support month-end processes and ad hoc reporting
  • Cross-train across all payroll functions and contribute to a collaborative team

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years' payroll experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll complexities, awards, and superannuation
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven customer service and communication skills
  • Quick learner, adaptable, and proactive in a fast-paced setting
  • Mature outlook, reliable, and understands the critical nature of payroll
  • Advanced computer literacy; prior experience with Employment Hero (or similar) highly regarded
