Job Description Summary:

We are seeking Managers with experience in local government to join our client's Grants and Other Assurance national team.

Grants Assurance is a specialist team with 30 members across the UK and India. As part of the team, you'll manage assignments with public bodies, government departments, national services, commercial organizations, and not-for-profit organizations such as universities.

The role will include but is not limited to:
  1. Hands-on experience in various aspects of Grants Assurance, working with diverse clients from local authorities to multinational companies and government bodies.
  2. Experience working on assurance assignments ranging from a few days to five weeks, including examining financial records and carrying out audit procedures.
  3. Responsibility and ownership of interesting and challenging client work.
  4. Developing a strong internal and external network to learn from.
  5. Collaborating with colleagues to provide robust challenge and market-leading insights to help clients meet regulatory requirements and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
  1. Experience working with local government and/or an interest in local government, with a desire to develop skills and knowledge in this area.
  2. Experience delivering complex Housing Benefit assignments.
  3. The ability to work independently, synthesize information from various sources, draw conclusions, and manage relationships with clients, including senior officers.
