Job Description Summary :

We are seeking Assistant Managers with experience in local government to join our client's Grants and Other Assurance national team.

Grants Assurance is a specialist team with 30 members across the UK and India. As part of the team, you'll be managing assignments with public bodies, government departments, national services, commercial organisations, and not-for-profit organisations such as universities.

The role will include but is not limited to:
  • Hands-on experience in various aspects of Grants Assurance, working with a diverse range of clients from local authorities to multinational companies and government bodies.
  • Gaining experience on assurance assignments that range from a few days to five weeks, including examining financial records and carrying out audit procedures.
  • Taking responsibility and ownership of interesting and challenging client work.
  • Developing a strong internal and external network to learn from.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to provide robust challenge and market-leading insights to help clients meet their regulatory needs and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working with local government or a keen interest in developing skills and knowledge in this area.
  • Experience delivering complex Housing Benefit assignments.
  • The ability to work independently, summarise information from various sources, draw conclusions, and manage relationships with clients, including senior officers.
