In this position, you'll work with cutting-edge technology that makes it all possible. We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician at our busy distribution centre.

About the opportunity:

You will report directly to the Duty Technical Team Leader and conduct maintenance activities related to Mail Processing Equipment, ensuring mail services and production standards are met across Parcel Processing Facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prioritizing safety in all activities and ensuring compliance with Australia Post Occupational Health and Safety Policies.
  • Performing corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance considering operational requirements.
  • Accurately recording all plant and material maintenance transactions using SAP.
  • Collaborating with operations and service teams to achieve high reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Working at heights from mobile platforms.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Experience diagnosing, repairing, and monitoring Mail processing equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Experience in performance monitoring, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Teamwork skills and effective liaising with stakeholders to optimize machine performance.
  • Proficiency in SAP as an information tool.
  • Exposure to PLC and variable speed drives is advantageous.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Minimum qualification requirements:

  • Full Queensland Electrical License (Certificate III in Electro Technology, Systems Technician or equivalent).

Preferred additional skills:

  • Certificate IV in Electro Technology (Systems Electrician) or progression towards completion.
  • Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in IT and Data communications is highly desirable.
  • High Risk Licence in Elevated Work Platforms.
  • Mechanical Trade Certificate III or higher.
