Position Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for highly motivated Engine Maintenance Technicians to work on the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector – the Super Hornet and Growler's GE F414 engine and the F35 Pratt & Whitney F135 engine. The technician is responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of engine systems, associated components and associated equipment within the scope of their applicable : trade, qualifications, training, competency and authorisation(s).

Your duties include

Performing heavy engine maintenance activities including strip, detailed inspection, and assemblyEnsuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved publications, technical data, and work instructionsMaintaining documentation of work in progressPerforming maintenance supervisory / inspection duties as specified by aviation regulatorsContinually looking for way to improve in efficiency and effectivenessTaking all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others

Desirable

Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)Demonstrable knowledge of strip, detailed inspection and assembly of the gas turbine engineDemonstrable knowledge and experience working within airworthiness rules and regulatory requirementsThe ability to maintain documentation of work in progress and composition of maintenance worksheetsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirementsA passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying
