Overview

Helena College is seeking an Engineering teacher for a full-time Long Service Leave replacement position during Term 1, 2026, teaching Years 8 to 12 including both ATAR and General Engineering courses. From Term 2, 2026, this position will transition into an ongoing 0.6 FTE part-time role. The part-time teaching load may increase depending on the successful teacher's ability to teach other subjects. Ideally, we are seeking a teacher who is available for the full-time Term 1 position and is willing to continue in the ongoing part-time role for the remainder of 2026 and beyond. Alternatively, the College is open to appointing one teacher for the full-time Term 1, 2026 role and a different teacher for the ongoing part-time position commencing in Term 2, 2026.

Selection Criteria

Hold relevant tertiary qualifications with experience in teaching Design Technologies subjects in a senior school.

Hold current Teacher Registration and a Working with Children card.

Demonstrated teaching competence and capacity to provide curriculum leadership leading to the achievement of quality learning outcomes for all students.
