As a Business Relationship Manager, you will work across the wider Bendigo region, partnering with a diverse portfolio of small business customers with emerging and evolving needs, to provide quality banking services that will enable your clients to succeed.
As an experienced banker and a passionate sales professional, you will manage a portfolio of specialist customers, prospect for new business opportunities within your local communities, and maintain exemplary customer service. You will work closely with Regional Managers and branches to attract and retain opportunities by visiting customers, focusing on targeted business development activities, and delivering win-win solutions.
You'll make your mark by :
- Managing a commercial portfolio with lending up to $3 million TAE.
- Developing strong specialist networks with local industry, business, and community groups, and implementing local plans to raise the profile of yourself and the Bank in the community.
- Connecting with your customers through quality conversations to design and deliver innovative, holistic, and needs-based solutions.
- Building deep and lasting relationships focused on acquiring new customers.
- Identifying and leading business development activities that enhance our profile and growth prospects in the local region.
- Connecting with a large network of Corporate and Community Bank Branches that are well respected and engaged with their communities.
- Forming partnership relationships with branch managers, coaching and leading education of Branch teams and Business Support teams, and building trusted relationships with Credit Risk.
This is a full-time role based in Bendigo Head Office. Hybrid working arrangements are core to our operations today. Talk to us about what flexibility means to you.
What you'll bring to the role
To succeed in this role, you will have :
- A tertiary qualification in business, finance, or a related discipline.
- The ability to undertake travel and possession of a current driver license.
We would also love you to have :
- Demonstrated expertise in lending and credit risk principles.
- Financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
- Up-to-date knowledge of business banking market conditions, products, cash flows, and markets preferred.
- The ability to think outside the square to develop innovative, customer-centric solutions.
