Clinical Manager - Full Time - Deception Bay

We're on the lookout for the right Clinical Manager to guide and mentor the clinical and care team at our Palm Lake Aged Care Deception Bay Community.

Your role involves overseeing the overall delivery of evidence-based, high-quality clinical care, and assisting the Service Manager in managing services and providing operational guidance to staff. You'll ensure smooth and efficient care operations while serving as a clinical consultant for nursing care matters.

About You
  • Bachelor of Nursing with current APHRA registration
  • Five years' experience as a Clinical Manager in Residential Aged Care Services
  • Understanding and compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, including recent accreditation exposure. Gerontology Certificate/Diploma or willingness to pursue
  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance Programs
  • Strong communicator at all management levels, with staff, care recipients, and their representatives. Initiative-driven problem solver who collaborates effectively with the Clinical Governance and Quality Managers
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, especially in nurturing relationships with older individuals, general practitioners, and other healthcare providers
  • Knowledge of Autumn Care is advantageous
  • All applicants must be willing to undergo a valid national police check and pre-employment medical assessment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate approachable leadership by example, mentoring a diverse team across clinical and care domains
  • Foster effective communication, ensuring each resident and their representative's participation in care plan development and implementation
  • Ensure evidence-based best practices in care provision, meticulously documented
  • Stay abreast of legislative and best practice requirements and changes
  • Participate in end-to-end recruitment, replacement, and assessment of employees as required
  • Assist in fortnightly roster preparation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of management systems
