Location: Melbourne, VIC
Security Clearance: Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance
Length of Contract: 9 months
Closing Date: 11th September 2025
Key responsibilities- Conduct requirements analysis and development.
- Manage requirements set through the project lifecycle.
- Manage linkages between the requirements set and the system design.
- Manage the capture of V&V outcomes against the requirements set.
- Assist the Engineering team with the conduct certification and support.
- Plan and deliver engineering services, regulatory compliance.
- Resource management, and project outcomes.
- Conduct reviews of contract deliverables.
- Must hold a professional engineering qualification that cover the relevant subject areas and with extensive experience in the required systems and software engineering services.
- Must provide a commensurate with relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
- Must employ industry best practice when undertaking the Services.
- Systems engineering services.
- Practitioner with the DOORS requirements management software.
- Requirement development and management.
- Development and review of V&V procedures to confirm test cases & validate the project requirements.
- Design documents and specialist engineering reports.
- Engineering plans/procedures/ reports.
- Hazard analyses and reports.
- Contract documentation plans and reports.
- A qualified practitioner with higher degree qualifications or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
- Previous Defence experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive industry and specialty experience in electrical engineering and systems integration including integration on maritime platforms.
- Experience with RF environments and wireless communications in contested communications or electronic warfare domains.
- Experience in digital communications protocols and signal conversion techniques.
- Experience driving processes and process improvements, including continuous improvement methodologies.
- DSS - 2.1 Systems and Software Engineering - Systems Engineering - L3
- SFIA Skill Code - Systems and Software Lifecycle Engineering (SLEN) - L4
