Overview

Responsibilities
  • Craft fresh, seasonal, and nutritious meals that kids love.
  • Personalize dishes to cater to allergies and intolerances with tasty, inclusive alternatives.
  • Keep the kitchen sparkling clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
  • Manage time with precision and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Engage positively with children, families, and team members to foster a joyful environment.
Qualifications
  • A qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • A Food Handler's or Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
  • Experience in preparing meals for children with diverse dietary needs, including allergies and anaphylaxis.
  • Full Australian working rights (Visa/Passport).
  • Bonus points if you've worked in a childcare setting before.

Centre Highlights

Located on High Street Road opposite Electra Nature Reserve, our Centre offers a nurturing environment with dedicated spaces for babies through 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten, landscaped outdoor play areas, interactive learning spaces, and a professional kitchen for daily healthy meals. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, the central piazza fosters belonging and collaboration within the Explorers Brighton East community.
