Overview

Disability Support Worker (New South Wales) Katoomba - Part-time Permanent hours at Kirinari Community Services.

We are looking for Disability Support Workers to join our teams in Katoomba and surrounding regions (Blackheath and Wentworth Falls). Kirinari Community Services is a reputable disability support service providing essential care across VIC, NSW and TAS with a focus on quality 24/7 care in supported independent living settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support across a range of customer needs including domestic and personal care, and assist customers to access and connect with the community.
  • Support 24/7 operations in SIL/Group Homes, including shift work, sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Support may include 24/7 availability and availability during the Christmas period (8 December 2025 to 1 February 2026).
About You
  • Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public holidays with significant availability
  • Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencement
  • Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
  • Smart phone
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence

Kirinari Community Services offers a well-recognised, rapidly expanding and essential support service. We have opportunities in Katoomba and surrounding regions (Blackheath and Wentworth Falls) for both experienced and entry-level Disability Support Workers to join our dynamic team.

We employ over 1300 staff in various regions across VIC, NSW and TAS.

About the Position

Our Disability Support Workers support people in their day-to-day living and provide quality 24/7 care in supported independent living accommodations (SIL/Group Homes). You will support customers with domestic and personal care needs and help them access and maintain positive community connections.

Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and overnight shifts, is required (generous penalties apply).
