The Netball Program Coach will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating a quality training program for identified athletes across the Gippsland region. This role involves working with athletes, assistant coaches, and support staff to ensure athletes are supported in their technical, tactical, physical, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a structured training and development program in line with Netball Victoria and GSA guidelines.
- Lead and provide development opportunities to assistant coaches
- Provide technical and tactical coaching to athletes aged 12–15 years.
- Support athlete development in areas of fitness, wellbeing, and leadership.
- Work collaboratively with assistant coaches, performance staff, and the GSA team.
- Attend Trials in November, Training sessions (February – October), Inter-Academy Challenge (October) and Awards evening (May).
- Minimum Intermediate Netball Coaching Accreditation.
- Demonstrated coaching experience at representative, state, or academy level.
- Strong understanding of the Netball Victoria player pathway and a High-Performance environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to inspire and mentor young athletes.
- Form a relationship with Talent Academy coaching team.
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- Advanced coaching accreditation or a commitment to further development.
- Experience working in athlete development programs or academies.
- Hours: Approx 8 sessions per year up to 5 hrs per day.
- Location: Gippsland Region.
- Contract: program-based.
- Remuneration: Discussed upon application.
