About Our School

Xavier Catholic College is a co-educational K-12 College operated by Brisbane Catholic Education that commenced in 2003. In 2013 a two session Kindergarten was established on site and is administered by Catholic Early EdCare. Our Prep to Year 12 enrolments have grown to over 1340 and continues to expand. Our mission for the College is to provide a high-quality, inclusive Catholic education where all are engaged in their learning and motivated to do their best. • Salary: $34.17/hour - $35.62/hour + super (School Salary Scale)
• Status: Term Time Fixed Term

About The Opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities
• Monitoring the progress of students and identifing learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
• Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
• Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.

About You

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
• Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
• Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
• Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
• Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials
• Certificate III in Education Support
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
