Our esteemed client, Baker Love Lawyers, is seeking a full-time Conveyancer or Conveyancing Secretary/Paralegal to join their growing business.

About the Firm

Baker Love Lawyers is a long-established Newcastle-based legal firm with an enviable reputation for consistently exceeding their clients' expectations and efficiently achieving results. Their team of experts possess many years' experience across a broad range of legal areas including property, commercial, wills & estates, family, criminal law, and litigation.

About the Role

They are now looking to onboard an experienced Conveyancer or a Conveyancing Secretary/Paralegal to help support their busy team. The ideal candidate will be ready to hit the ground running, possessing at least 3 years' experience and be looking to progress their career to the next level.

The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be a strong team player with an eye for detail, and have highly refined organisational skills. They will take pride in taking control and managing their own matters and be known for their ability to maintain a positive and energetic attitude within the workplace.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Director in charge of the Property practice to deliver exceptional client service in property transactions including residential and commercial conveyancing, off the plan purchases, commercial property transactions, land sales, and all associated property matters.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will possess:

  • At least 3 years' experience practising in Australia as a Licensed Conveyancer or Paralegal in conveyancing
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Great initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and time management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and an ability to think "outside of the box" to achieve client's needs
  • The ability to work independently of supervision (where appropriate)
  • Experience using the software LEAP legal and PEXA settlement.
