We are seeking a dedicated Property Acquisition Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in securing property interests related to capital or developer works.

As the Property Acquisition Officer, you will be responsibilities will lie with acquiring Licenses, easements, or freehold land.

**Responsibilities**
- Acquiring Licenses, easements, or freehold land.
- Acting as the primary contact for capital land matters, engaging with impacted landholders and their representatives.
- Assisting Project Managers with property requirements throughout all project stages, including budgetary forecasts and process timelines.
- Preparing, issuing, and renewing Licence/lease agreements for the property portfolio.
- Negotiating compensation with landholders and valuers.
- Processing payments, including Construction Licence fees.
- Coordinating with surveyors and solicitors to register property interests accurately and promptly, resolving any requisitions.
- Conducting research on property matters, including native title and Aboriginal Land Claims.
- Resolving easement irregularities and outstanding acquisition matters.
- Preparing Ministerial, executive, and Board briefs and presentations.
- Providing support in administering insurance claims for the group.
- Managing property matters for Developer Services.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Property Law, Real Estate Management) or minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating property transactions
- Strong exposure or conveyancing experience.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
